Where will my rv be picked up?
Most rv transport companies offer door-to-door service, which means they will come to your house and put the rv on the truck in front of you. However, with major cities comes tiny roads, and trucks can’t drive on those small roads. The rv transport trucks can be as long as 75 ft long, which makes it virtually impossible to squeeze on a small, two-lane road. If the truck can’t get to your house, generally they will contact you and let you know that you need to meet them in a parking lot or some other place that the truck can fit in. Also, because of the nature of the United States, many cities prohibit giant trucks from going down minor roads. This is why you never see large 18-wheelers driving past your house. This is generally why you may need to meet the truck in a parking lot or someplace else that the truck can fit in. If they come to your house and there are laws preventing him from doing so, he could get a major fine--then your rv will never move! So let the company that you transport your rv with if your streets are narrow and the truck can’t get in...they’ll appreciate that.

Rv Transporters And Quotes For Transporting Your RvAn rv transporter is a person or company that ships rvs. This can be either a transport broker or a carrier, depending on the company, and each has their own way of operating. A transport broker is an rv transporter that arranges transport – from start to finish, they will find a carrier, handle all the paperwork, and take their own transport broker fee, but they also keep the costs low because they look for carriers instead of transporting it themselves, so the incentive to raise your price is not there. A carrier is an rv transporter that actually moves the rv for a customer. These rv transporters are more common, but most use transport brokers to find and transport rvs. An rv transporter quote is the price that an rv transporter will provide to you to transport your rv. An rv transporter quote can come from two different types of rv transporters – either a transport broker or a carrier. A transport broker will give you a quote based on the price that carriers are giving out for the route your transport will be taking as well as their own fee; a carrier will give a quote simply based on the route that you are transporting on. However, some carriers like to charge more, which is why utilizing an rv transporting transport brokerage tends to be less stressful as the price tends to stay the same.
Bad news for people who like good news..
apparently there is this argument that big suv’s and big trucks are a major profit maker, especially for the big 3 in detroit. now i will be the first to admit that earlier in the decade this was an absolute truth. somewhere around 2003, everything was about bigger and better. read article...
Cars Need More Open Software
in today’s world, if you don’t have an mp3 jack built in to the automobiles that you’re pumping out, chances are that they aren’t selling well. the big three are having major problems with this, as open software is more of a rarity than a stock option on most of their vehicles. open software will allow oem’s and tier 1 producers a leading edge on the market by providing things that many other auto makers can’t provide at the moment, and that’s where the most money is to be made at this point. read article...
I said I would stop writing about this. I lied.
it seems all the news of these past couple of weeks has revolved around the “newly re-coined” cash for clunkers program that was implemented last monday. now on this blog, we have followed the progress of this program from its inception in congress, but have really been unable to speak of its potential effectiveness. on one side, this program is going to cost taxpayers quite a bit of money, but our government has been insisting that this incentive will aid the weak auto industry during this tough economic time. read article...
