Can I transport more than one car?
Of course you can! Because most trucking companies use 10-car, open carriers, it is usually no problem to transport more than one car. One important thing to note when you decide to transport more than one car is that it may take longer to find a truck because there has to be room for all of your vehicles. Some car transporting companies offer discounts for more than one car, so make sure you let that company know if you have more than one car.

Car Transport Information
Car Transport Broker Rate

Car transport broker rates are the prices that you pay for transporting your car. These are determined by several different factors including the size of the car, the pickup and destination locations, and the distance between the two. Transporting something like a Ford F-350 Super Duty will cost much more than something like a Toyota Corolla simply because it’s larger and more difficult to fit onto a truck – in special instances the rates can go up even more if the car is severely oversized. Car transport broker rates also depend on the pickup and destination cities – transporting from a larger city tends to be easier and cheaper because there are more trucks in that area. If the city you are transporting from or to is smaller, fewer trucks tend to run that way, which can raise the car transport broker rate. Another major determining factor in car transport broker rates is the distance between the pickup and destination cities. If the cities are closer together the rate will be cheaper because less fuel is expended getting from point to point. If they are farther apart, the car transport broker rate will go up because the driver has more expenses during the trip.

Car transporter Quote

An car transporter quote is exactly what it sounds like – a quote from an car transporter company. Most car transporter quotes actually come from the drivers themselves, who are contacted to pickup and deliver cars for transport brokerages. Car transporter quotes are mostly given to transport brokerages themselves as opposed to customers, and many car transporter quotes to customers are higher than they are to transport brokerages because they are given by companies who typically don’t get freight from transport brokers. This makes it more difficult to get freight to transport, and as such the prices tend to increase for companies who don’t take loads from transport brokers.

Car transporter Rate

An car transporter rate is the rate given by any car transporter company to transport a car. Prices depend on several factors including the length of the route, the location of the route (what areas of the United States the route travels through) and the season of transportation. Typically, car transporter rates go up during the summer months because they can pick and choose which shipments to pick up, so they take the most expensive ones; during the winter months, however, people do not transport as much so they take loads for less money.

Car transporter

An car transporter is a person or company that actually transports cars. Typically car transporters drive open ten car carriers (like the ones you see taking new cars to dealerships), but there are other kinds as well. For instance, some car transporters only drive three car trailers – these are great for short trips in-state; others drive huge semi trucks with trailers that transport expensive sports cars or classic cars enclosed. There are many different types of car transporters on the road today, so you should be able to find the car transporter that you are looking for.

Car Carrier

An car carrier is the actual truck driver; they’re the ones that will be actually transporting a car. Car carriers are different from car transport brokers or car transport broker companies because they don’t arrange the transporting, they actually transport the car. Typically car carriers transport cars on open, ten car car carriers – the very same that carry new cars to dealerships. Car carriers use car transport brokers mainly for ease of scheduling – most pickups are scheduled days in advance, and car carriers often have full loads to transport around the country. Car carriers also make sure that the cars are fully insured – most car carriers carry $750,000 worth of insurance as mandated by the federal government, but some like to go above and beyond and insure their trucks for upwards of $1 million. This ensures that even incredibly expensive cars will be covered by their insurance. If you have any questions about your car carrier, talk to your representative at your car transport transport brokerage.

Car transporter Service

An car transporter service is what an car transporter actually provides, which is transporting cars. Car transporters are different from car transport brokerages in the sense that they actually transport the car as opposed to set up the transport thereof. They are the company that will actually be transporting the car. Part of the car transporter service is communication – when you setup your transport, your car transporter will let you know where they can pick up the car – some cities or towns have restrictions as to where large trucks can travel, so sometimes they will ask you to meet them in a large parking lot on the outskirts of the town if that is the case.

Car transporter Company

An car transporter company can mean either an car transporting transport brokerage or an car transporting carrier. A transport broker, or transport brokerage, is a type of car transporter company that specializes in arranging transport for customers. They give quotes based on the prices that carriers (another type of car transporter company) are currently charging, but they handle most all the paperwork and keep things in line. A carrier is an car transporter company that actually transports cars from one location to the other. These are easier to find, but most utilize transport brokerages to find loads to transport.

Car Carrier Quote

An car carrier quote is a quote that a customer receives from an car carrier or an car carrier company. These are actually fairly rare in the car transport industry as most quotes are given by car transport brokers and not carriers. Carriers will give their transportation prices to the transport broker, or ask for more money if it is a difficult or long route, but most customers don’t normally talk about money with car carriers. There are rare instances where car carriers give their own quotes to customers; this often happens when a customer comes across an car carrier company on the internet. Many times, car carrier quotes are higher than one for the same route from an car transport transport brokerage, mainly because the truck driver is interested in getting as much money as he can; this is why car transport brokerages are used much more frequently, because it keeps the prices low.

Car transport broker Company

An car transport broker company is a company that specializes in car transport; specifically, setting up transport for customers who want to transport their cars. Car transport broker companies deal with the car carriers so customers don’t have to; they facilitate the transporting process by providing all the transporting information to the carriers and organizing the transport. Car transport broker companies dispatch the cars to carriers in the vehicles’ area and make sure that the carrier actually delivers the car. An car transport broker company usually charges a percentage of the total transport price as their commission – they need to make money too! However, they also make sure that the carrier gets paid if the customer pre-paid for their transportation; otherwise, most shipments that car transport broker companies oversee are paid via cash on delivery.

Car transporter Rate

An car transporter rate is simply the cost of transporting a car. Most car transporters are car transport transport brokerages, who setup transport – they handle all the details of your car transportation and arrange transport with the actual carrier, who will transport your car for you. Car transporter rates vary depending on the pickup and delivery locations as well as the time of year, because prices for car transporting are mostly route-based. Car transporters base their prices on how much fuel costs in relation to the route they are on, and as such prices vary accordingly.

Car Carrier Rate

car carrier rates are simply the costs that carriers charge for transporting cars from one location to the next. The car transport industry, as well as any car carrier rate, is based almost solely on routes; truck drivers have many expenses to pay, so they charge customers or transport brokerages based on their expenses they accrue during the transport on a given route. Fuel is usually the most expensive expense that an car carrier will have during transit, so they price their routes based on how far they are. Typically, shorter routes cost less money, as well as any routes to or from big cities. This is because there are many more customers in big cities, which means more loads for drivers; this, in turn, causes the car carrier rate to go down because they don’t have to go so far to find their next load. Likewise, rates are cheaper between cities that have a short distance between them because the travel time and the expenses are much lower.

Car transporter Company

An car transporter company is a company that specializes in the transport of cars. They are not transport brokers, however; they are fleet operators with their own dispatch departments who find cars for their drivers to pickup and deliver. Car transporter companies are not as common as owner-operators but they are out there; some even advertise their services to customers and bypass transport brokerages completely, which can be beneficial or detrimental depending on their service. Most car transporter companies go through transport brokerages to get freight because it is dependable and freight is readily available; those that do not, however, are oftentimes required to raise prices because freight is harder to find.

Auto Carrier

an auto carrier is the actual truck driver; they’re the ones that will be actually transporting a vehicle. auto carriers are different from auto brokers or auto broker companies because they don’t arrange the shipping, they actually ship the vehicle. typically auto carriers transport vehicles on open, ten car auto carriers – the very same that carry new cars to dealerships.  read article...
